The Boston Red Sox narrowly missed sweeping a three game series against the New York Yankees in what is likely to be the Red Sox last visit to old Yankee Stadium.
After manhandling the Yankees the first two games of the series, the Red Sox blew a lead in the seventh inning to spoil a nice outing by Jon Lester. The Sox lost the third game.
There were a lot of great games played by these two teams in the old stadium.
The Red Sox and Yankees will meet again this year at Fenway Park September 26th-28th.
